I get that they need to inspect the car in person, but some of these companies seem to use the initial high number just to get you to book an appointment, then suddenly find &quot;issues&quot; that knock off thousands. I've read maybe twenty reviews across different platforms and it's so hard to tell which ones are legit. I don't mind a small adjustment for things I missed, but I don't want to waste my time if the final offer is going to be insulting. Anyone here actually gotten the full quoted amount with no deductions? And which company was it? Really appreciate any honest experiences before I book something.</div>

I know on most cars a battery change is a simple job, but I've heard horror stories about Porsches losing all their programming, throwing error codes, or even refusing to start if you don't register the new battery with the ECU properly. A friend with a Cayenne said he tried to save money by getting a battery from a regular shop and the car went into limp mode until he towed it to the dealer and paid double. I really don't want to pay dealership prices for something as simple as a battery, but I also don't want to end up stranded.
